Only genomic sequencing or high-performance liquid chromatography of cell wall mycolic acids can presently allow a correct identification of this mycobacterium. Two cases of infection due to M. celatum, in AIDS patients, are described here. The quantitative susceptibility pattern of the isolates to a wide spectrum of drugs is also reported<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
Laboratorio di Microbiologia e Virologia, Ospedale di Careggi, Florence, Italy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":16,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[8,1],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-28497","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","","category-articulos-cientificos","category-generales"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/piel-l.org\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/28497","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/piel-l.org\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/piel-l.org\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/piel-l.org\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/16"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/piel-l.org\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=28497"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/piel-l.org\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/28497\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/piel-l.org\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=28497"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/piel-l.org\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=28497"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/piel-l.org\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=28497"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
