Es un tumor de crecimiento lento pero con alta capacidad de invasi\u00f3n perineural por lo cual es t\u00edpico el dolor a medida que crece. Cuando afecta las gl\u00e1ndulas salivales menores el sitio m\u00e1s com\u00fan de aparici\u00f3n es el paladar. Recientemente ha cobrado mucha utilidad el uso del marcador inmunohistoqu\u00edmico c-kit\/CD117 para su diagn\u00f3stico.
