Hemos abierto un nuevo modulo sobre la visión de la industria dermatológica sobre la salud de la piel. Este modulo esta concebido para dar información netamente informativa manteniendo los canones éticos que deben prevalecer en la industria de medicamentos ~ Los Editores
Healthcare providers interested in skin health constantly wonder how to better meet the needs of people with dermatological conditions and what their healthcare practice will look like in the future. This section is my personal contribution to the discussion on how industry, academia and healthcare providers can work together to improve patient outcomes and shape a prosperous future for medical solutions in skin health.
Although my background is in management and economics, I have spent almost three decades learning about and working in skin health, – the field I am fortunate to work in. As CEO of Galderma, I am privileged to be able to make a difference in this important area of medicine.
Perhaps some people struggle to understand the allure of dermatology, thinking only of their battles with eczema, wrinkles, blemishes or some similarly negative aspect. For me, however, it is so much more. The skin is truly our interface with the world. It protects, touches, warms, feels, sweats and blushes. It communicates our habits, our age, our health and our emotions.
To me, the science of skin, hair and nails abounds with endless opportunities for new discoveries. It is an area where treatments can improve the quality of people’s lives immeasurably and can even save their lives. It is dynamic and is growing chiefly as a result of the changing demographics and megatrends in human behavior. There is always a new medical challenge to address, a new disease to treat, and always a touch of beauty in everything we do. That is why I love it. What other field of medicine can have such a profound impact on so many people’s lives and provide so many new challenges?
It is for all these reasons that I have decided to create this blog. I’ll be posting frequently on a wide range of topics, sharing the latest developments in the field and beyond, and hoping to both interest and inform people. From time to time, I may ask a friend or colleague to post on areas that inspire them, so I too can share in their wisdom and enthusiasm.
I hope you will take part in the conversation.

La industria de la salud debe ser promotora de la investigacion, como refiere el Sr. Antunez, no maquinas de tomar el dinero sin invertir un centavo en investigacion
